Platform 2: Economic Keys to Success

1. Earn-Save Prosper (ESP) Kids Club – through the chapter youth programs, Execu-Prep, AKA Kadettes, and Youth Financial Literacy group the chapter seeks to increase economic literacy of Black youth in the elementary through middle school before they reach the age of employability-15 years of age.

2. Earnings-Set Potential (ESP)-On Top of the Game- The Ivy Connection: Strategies for Teenage Girls Connecting the Five ships with ESP - Entrepreneurship, Scholarship, Partnership, Friendship and Mentorship - The chapter in partnership with the Center for Healthy Marriages and Families, Inc., provides high school girls with the opportunity to: learn the basics of entrepreneurship; reinforce the value of a college education; increase self-confidence and the understanding of hard work payoff and establish a sense of community responsibility.

3. Economically Seizing Power Smart Fair- A joint sponsorship of all Broward County Chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, is an external initiative to increase economic literacy of the greater community by providing a “one-stop shop” for economic information, workshops and technical assistance.
