Platform 5: Economics of Health Resource Management
The health committee conducts forums around physical and mental health topics that impact the Black family and community. This is done in collaboration with each of the various program areas: ESP Kids Club, Ivy Connection, Black Family, Seniors, Execu-Prep,
Additionally the chapter participates in programs and events to aid in the prevention and reduction the impact of diabetes, HIV-AIDS, Breast Cancer, heart disease in the Black community, especially women and young girls. For partnerships, collaboration and information: health@zetarhoomega.org.
Participate and support the “ESP 1908 Centennial Walk.” The ESP walk is a historic initiative. Zeta Rho Omega is an active participant in the twelve month health and fitness initiative to challenge the Black community to collectively lose one million pounds. In recognition of the ESP 1908 Centennial Walk, which is committing to walk 1,908 miles in 18 months, the chapter will post their total miles walked on January 15, 2008 thus far at the 75% mark. The final date is July 2008 when the chapter will return participate in the Centennial Anniversary of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
